To give children a sense of self-confidence and help them discover their inner potential; and to give lonely elderly people a sense of need and value.
There are many people in our society who need our attention and help. These are lonely elderly people who are left alone with their problems, live in their homes or nursing homes and have no family support. They often feel forgotten, unwanted, and lonely. These people need not only material assistance, but also moral and emotional support. They need live contact with other people who can give them their time and a piece of their heart.
That is why the Better Future Charitable Foundation has launched the Live Contact project, which aims to make lonely elderly people feel needed and valued. The project is carried out with the help of volunteers who visit such people all over Ukraine and bring them the joy of communication and the things they need:
- Volunteers talk to the elderly;
- Listen to their stories;
- Share their experiences;
- Read books;
- Sing songs;
- Help with household chores.
Volunteers also bring food to the elderly:
- Products
- Medicines
- Clothing
- Books and other things that can improve the quality of life.
Thanks to this project, hundreds of lonely elderly people are no longer alone and realize that even old age can be happy. They feel that they have not been forgotten, that they are needed, that they have friends who will always come to their aid.
